John Lennon – 3 Days in the Life A
MESSAGE FROM THE EXECUTIVE PRODUCER Hello all, We are delighted to bring you news of a
most important discovery involving the life and work of the most
influential music artist of the 20th century. John Lennon.
Conceived and shot 37 years ago, but unseen until now, 3 Days in the
Life has captured an historic moment in Lennon's career. The film was
Lennon's own idea and has been called by those who have authenticated it
as "the granddaddy of reality shows." The film captures
Lennon, his friends and family in a most intimate and no-holds-barred,
cinema verite' style perspective for three days of their real world. If you are reading this letter, then
please consider yourself to be fortunate to have been made aware that
the most influential music artist of the 20th century –
through the film medium – has made history and that history is
captured in 3 Days in the Life, an unfinished documentary film that is
about to turn 37 years old (February 2007) without ever being seen. For those who did not live in those
times, it provides a vivid, riveting education. It is historic, in that a film like this
had never been attempted before. And with today's tight control of
artists' images, it is doubtful that such a film about a major icon
could ever be made again. Following his unprecedented success recording
and touring with the Beatles, Lennon became one of the most sought after
celebrities of the '70s. The privacy and innocence of his earlier life
had vanished by this time. Our film allows a new generation to
share with those who lived through those times, a deep and penetrating
look at the many sides of the man who set new standards in art, music,
fashion and politics. Please view the DVD and for 18 short
minutes go back to a time when there we're no videos, no MTV or VH1. A
time when we let Lennon and his music deliver our message of freedom,
change, and hope for a better future without violence or media
saturation. John Lennon: the singer, songwriter, artist, father,
husband, and political activist. Bring your students and peers to witness
an important part of history through this incredible educational
documentary. It will no doubt inspire and challenge young minds to think
differently and make a difference in the world … just as Lennon did. Kindest regards, Ray F. Thomas Executive Producer World Wide Video L.L.C. |
